Sunburst Shutters was established in the early '70s in Phoenix, AZ, by people who conceived that they could make a better shutter than any other in the US.

In the '70s, draperies and blinds were the usual window treatments in most homes. That’s when Sunburst Shutters showed clients a longer lasting and energy-efficient window treatment: plantation shutters.
At the beginning, the company offered wood shutters solely. But it was quickly apparent that Sunburst should create the ultimate shutter – one that provides utmost energy efficiency, and looks as elegant 20 years from now as the day you bought it. After much research, sampling, and testing, Sunburst revealed its Polywood Shutters.
Once Sunburst offered the best shutters in the marketplace, they grew considerably, opening locations across America. In 2008, Sunburst Shutters grew its collection into blinds, shades, draperies, and window film – and changed its name to Sunburst Shutters & Window Fashions.
